The 21st Annual Covington Century Bike Ride on Saturday, August 1st, 2009 was a huge success! Over 1,500+ cyclists came out to experience the Fastest Century in Georgia!

It was an amazing day for all of the cyclists who realized they were there not only to enjoy the wonderful century ride, but also to help make a difference in a teen's life at Project Adventure Kids. All proceeds from the ride benefited Project Adventure Kids.

Cyclists came from 116 cities in Georgia and from 9 nearby states — Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Cyclists rode 30, 50, 80 and 100 miles through the beautiful communities of Madison, Mansfield, Monticello, Newborn, Rutledge and Social Circle, and returned after the ride to the PAK campus for a delicious spaghetti dinner!

The Covington Century continues to grow each year, and has quickly become known for a fast-time century ride, well-stocked rest stops, and friendly teens to cheer them on. And the buzz is...that this year was even better! We have many people to thank for this. Click here to read more.
